Q1. When are they actually getting married?

The wedding begins promptly at 6:00pm on Friday, April 30, 2021. Yes, that’s a Friday!

Q2. By when should I RSVP?

Ideally, as soon as you receive your formal invitation.

 

Please RSVP… re-RSVP, that is, no later than March 30, 2021, so we may notate your dinner selection and obtain an accurate headcount.

 

Our guest count and financial commitments with our venue are reliant on your RSVP to ensure we have the appropriate amount of food and space to accommodate guests.

 

If an emergency presents itself after the deadline and you are no longer able to attend, please kindly contact the wedding coordinator, Kris Lavender, at 470-315-0729.

Q3. How has the Coronavirus (COVID-19) impacted the upcoming wedding?

As you know the situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is still unfolding. As such, we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding. The new wedding date is Friday, April 30th, 2021.

Q3b. Can I update my contact information, so you can keep me informed of latest updates directly?

Yes, please! Click here to complete the guest contact form, so we can send you wedding details. Don’t forget to include your email address. Your information will not be shared with anyone else.

Q4. What health and safety measures will be in place during the wedding in light of COVID-19?

Will guests be required to do anything prior to attending the wedding?

All guests will be subject to a temperature check upon arrival. Persons with a fever of over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, or shortness of breath will not be permitted to attend the wedding.

 

Guests are encouraged to familiarize themselves and follow updated guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as Georgia state COVID-19 restrictions.

 

Will you encourage social distancing?

Yes, social distancing will be in place for persons not occupants of the same household /residence and are to stand / be seated at least six feet apart. 

 

How will food and drinks be served?

Cocktail hour will consist of butlered hors d’oeuvres based on household tables. The bar area will require six feet distancing between non-household parties.

 

Reception will consist of a plated table served dinner. Seating will be based on family units. Maximum 10 persons per table, at least six feet of separation from seating to seating. See Q4b for further venue safety measures.

 

Will there be sanitizing stations?

Yes, there will be sanitizing stations set up at the wedding. Guests are also required to practice responsible hygiene such as thorough hand washing. 

 

Are masks required? Will they be provided?

Guests are encouraged to bring their own wedding attire masks. Masks will also be provided at the wedding ceremony.

 

All venue employees are required to wear coverings at all times. See Q4 for further venue safety measures.

 

Will the ceremony or reception be live streamed?

No, unfortunately neither the ceremony or reception will be live streamed.

Q4b. What measures does the venue have in place to address the COVID-19?

In Compliance with the State of Georgia COVID-19 Virus Executive Order, Ashton Gardens is to ensure compliance with Private Social Club guidelines as they relate to the safe execution of an event. 

  • Evaluate workers who exhibit signs of illness such as a fever above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, or shortness of breath
  • Require workers who exhibit signs of illness not to report to work and seek medical attention
  • If an employee shows signs of illness, he/she will be sent home
  • An employee with known or suspected COVID-19 must self-isolate for at least seven days and must be symptom free for three days before returning to work
  • Train employee on the importance and expectation of increased frequency of handwashing, the use of sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol, and provide clear instruction to avoid touching hands to face
  • All employees will wear face coverings at all times
  • Prohibit handshaking and other unnecessary contact
  • Enforce Social Distancing between workers and patrons as reasonably possible
  • Enforce Social Distancing of non-cohabitating persons
  • Ensure Food Safety Manager certification of person in charge is up-to-date
  • Thoroughly detail, clean, and sanitize entire facility prior to resuming food service
  • Use rolled silverware and eliminate table presets
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly and check restrooms regularly based on frequency of use
  • Implement procedures to increase cleaning and sanitizing frequency of surfaces in the back-of-the-house
  • Avoid all food contact surfaces when using disinfectants
  • Create floor plans to ensure at least six feet of separation from seating to seating
  • Limit party size to no more than ten per table
  • Post signage at entrances that “No one with a fever or symptoms of COVID-19 is permitted in the facility”
  • Provide hand sanitizer for use by guests
  • Do not allow guests to congregate in waiting or bar areas

Q5. What is the required attire?

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, as well as suits, ties and cocktail dresses.

 

Guests are encouraged to bring their wedding attire masks.

 

*Please refrain from wearing any shade of white.

Q6. What is an unplugged wedding?

An “unplugged wedding” is when a couple getting married have made a decision that they would prefer if their wedding guests didn’t take photos and/or upload them to social media.

Q7. So, can we take our own photos at the reception?

Absolutely! The ceremony is the only portion considered unplugged. Once cocktail hour begins, feel free to use your phones and cameras and share using #EricCopsAPorscia | #HarrisIn4:30:21

Q8. Can I bring a guest?

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Q9. Are children welcome?

Due to enhanced safety measures, we are regrettably unable to extend invitations for children. Please note, this will be an adults (21 years old +) only affair. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Q10. Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Yes! Refer to the When. Where. How. page for all those details.

The venue is also a short distance away from the hotel if you choose to drive yourself!

Q11. What time does the Reception Dinner Party end?

The Reception Dinner Party will end with a bride and groom Send Off at 11:00 pm.
